I need some help. I ave owned this projector for over 12 years. In the last year it has started playing up!
Sometimes when i load a film the motor seems to cut out and if i do not switch the power off straight away the film gets burnt.
I have taken the motor out and tested it and it seems to be fine.
When i switch on power with the motor removed the lamp remains lit, so it does not seem to be a problem with the power supply.
The same thing happens when i am rewinding movies after watching.
Please help me as I do not think that i can get this fixed in Northern Ireland or indeed Ireland and as you can appreciate i do not want to burn any more films or have to buy another projector.

I think this would be your solution.
Im not very familar with people in Irleand who could fix your projector, but you might just want to buy another one. I bet you could find one for real cheap on ebay.
If you want to fix your projector, keep reposting your plea, and maybe someone can give you the information you need.

It?s my opinion, too, the films have much more worth than an projecor at ebay. But if you?d like to fix it: It seems that it is the belt. Test it with a worthless film (a cartoon...) When the film burns, it must have stopped to pass the film foreward. In this moment, I guess that the motor is running without driving the belt. The belt perhaps became weak over the years, and with the heat of the lamp it sucks totaly.
Mr Rinser at Rinser?s Kinotechnik/Munich claims, that he was able to offer any belt for any projector, when you give him the dimensions. http://www.kinotechnik-rinser.de/index.html
Good luck,
Pedro
